Corza Beoda by Jade Gross is a “rebellious” red wine, crafted by the multi-talented Jade with the help of Abel Mendoza in San Vicente de la Sonsierra, a municipality within the Rioja Qualified Designation of Origin.
This year, for the third edition of this label, Jade has changed the wine by blending two vintages of Tempranillo: 2024 and 2025.
The grapes come from the "La Cantera" plot located in Labastida, Rioja Alavesa. 37-year-old goblet-trained (bush vines) vineyard planted on clay-limestone soil at an altitude of 600 metres above sea level.
In 2024, the grapes were harvested by hand on 29 September; 70% of the bunches were destemmed and fermentation took place in small open vats (with 30% of the stems left in). The resulting wine was then aged for 12 months in French oak barrels. The other part of the wine comes from Tempranillo grapes from the same plot, harvested by hand on 27 September 2025, and fermented entirely with whole bunches, without destemming. This wine, however, has only been aged in stainless steel tanks.
A distinctive, striking and, we might even say, unique red wine, of which there are just 1,890 individually numbered bottles. A true Rioja rarity!
