Moon Rocket by Jade Gross, a red wine of the 2023 vintage, made by the multifaceted Jade in San Vicente de la Sonsierra, a town adhered to the Denominación de Origen Calificada Rioja.

This wine is made from a blend of the typical Rioja grape varieties: 48% Tempranillo, 49% Garnacha and a splash of Viura.

The vineyards, which are over 35 years old, are spread across Labastida and San Vicente de la Sonsierra at varying altitudes, between 450 and 650 metres above sea level, alongside a mosaic of soils: sandy, clay-limestone and sandstone.

The new vintage features an unprecedented blend, fermented in open tanks and subsequently aged in French oak barrels for 12 months.

This is the second edition of Moon Rocket Tinto (along with already 3 vintages of Moon Rocket White) and only 150 individually numbered Magnum bottles (1500 ml) have been bottled. The label, as usual for all the wines, is created by the San Sebastian illustrator Javier Aramburu and inspired by the adventures of Tintin and his trip to the moon. The rocket in the shape of the magnum bottle and Jade herself in a space suit are not to be missed, and the label deserves to be preserved as a small work of art!
