Piano, Piano by Jade Gross is a red wine of the 2023 vintage, made by the multifaceted Jade with the help of Abel Mendoza in San Vicente de la Sonsierra, a municipality attached to the Denominación de Origen Calificada Rioja.
This wine is made with the most widespread and typical variety of Rioja: Tempranillo.
The grapes come from a 0.5 hectare plot located in San Vicente de la Sonsierra, Rioja Alavesa. The vineyard is goblet-planted, 42+ years old, on gravel soil at an altitude of 480 metres above sea level.
The grapes were harvested by hand on September 8, 2023, and the destemmed grapes along with 30% whole bunches fermented in an open stainless steel tank. The wine is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels.
A very exclusive red wine from La Rioja of which there are only 1889 bottles. A real rarity!
