Harrobia by Jade Gross is a red wine from the 2023 vintage, made by the multifaceted Jade with the help of Abel Mendoza in San Vicente de la Sonsierra, a municipality under the Rioja Qualified Designation of Origin.
This wine is made with the most widespread and typical variety of Rioja: Tempranillo.
The grapes come from the "La Cantera" plot located in Labastida, Rioja Alavesa. 36-year-old goblet-trained (bush vines) vineyard planted on clay-limestone soil at an altitude of 600 metres above sea level.
The grapes were harvested by hand on 28 September 2023, and the destemmed grapes (70%) together with whole bunches (30%) were fermented in an open stainless steel tank. The wine is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, 30% of which are new.
A very exclusive red wine from La Rioja of which there are only 2250 bottles in existence. A real rarity!
