Teneguía is the name of the old cooperative that brings together the farmers who cultivate their old vines along the island of La Palma. Its winemaker Carlos Lozano (promoter and creator of the Llanos Negros brand), works his magic and presents us with this fresh and crisp-textured Canarian red wine!
Cumbre Vieja is the name of the ancient volcano that roared for the last time in 2021, causing a lot of havoc to the locals due to the passage of the expelled lava. This is where some of the varieties that make up this wine are grown: Negramoll, Almuñeco, Castellana, Vijariego Negro, Baboso Negro and Listan Prieto. The diversity of soils from different areas of the island and the age of the vines, which range from 60 to 130 years old, create a peculiar but at the same time very authentic blend.
The wine is made in stainless steel tanks (except for the Negramoll, which ferments in French oak barrels), which gives us a foretaste that the wine is fruity, with marked acidity and soft tannins.
