A red wine from Michael Wenzel curiously made from the French Pinot Noir grape variety from the Burgenland area known for its high quality wines.

The grapes are grown on a plot of land near the village of Rust itself, with limestone soils.

In 2024, Wenzel decided to conduct an experiment similar to the one carried out the previous year (Analogue No. 07 from 2023), employing a different winemaking approach for his Pinot, as is the case with this Analogue No. 09 (the ninth trial), which is aged without barrel ageing in order to faithfully reflect the varietal characteristics alongside the terroir’s nuances. The resulting wine is fragrant with very soft tannins, delicate yet with a chalky sensation on the palate that immediately brings to mind its limestone soils.

An easy-drinking wine, ideal for enjoying a red during the warmer months!
