Michael Wenzel, famous for his Furmint whites or his delicate Pinot Noir or Blaufränkisch reds, surprises with this white wine made from the Sauvignon Blanc variety, which is not the most common in the region.
The Analogue line produces unique and unrepeatable creations, as if it were a testing ground, and this white wine is the sixth edition in the lineup. Interestingly, the wine is left on its fine lees in old French barrels for almost two years, but without pumping over or sulphur additives. The wine protects itself, in turn protecting the citrusy varietal character and marked acidity, but is still similar in style to its ‘sharp’ furmints. A very gastronomic wine to accompany a good grilled fish or other seafood.
As we love limited editions, this Sauvignon is a good example of it - only 580 bottles were made of this beauty!
