4 Kilos 2022

4 Kilos 2022 is one of Mallorca's benchmark wines, made in Felanitx by 4 Kilos Vinícola from 100% Callet, one of the island's indigenous grape varieties. The grapes come from different vineyards across Mallorca, mainly planted on the distinctive Call Vermell soils, iron-rich clay-loam soils that contribute complexity and character to the wine.

The wine combines sustainable viticulture with precise cellar work. After careful hand selection, fermentation and malolactic conversion take place in stainless steel and oak, followed by 12 months of ageing in new French oak barrels, balancing fruit, structure and freshness. The 2022 vintage produced approximately 16,000 bottles.

The result is a Mediterranean red that is remarkably fresh and elegant, showing red and black fruit, aromatic herbs, spice and subtle smoky notes. Smooth and balanced on the palate, with fine tannins and a long, savoury finish, it is a compelling expression of Callet and a fine example of Mallorca's distinctive wine identity.
