The Furmint variety, well known in its country of origin (Hungary), but a rarity in Austria with only 10 hectares cultivated. Michael Wenzel is the most renowned winemaker for his dry white wines made from this grape. The "top" wine of the winery with its very limited production of only 600 bottles. The grapes come from a single vineyard, called Garten Eden (the Garden of Eden), characterized by its high red quartz content reflected on the label, plus the peculiarity that the vines are derived from a mass selection of "old furmint", which gives looser clusters and smaller grapes compared to current plantations. Fermented in new 500-liter French oak barrels and aged for 16 months in old barrels, natural vinification and only 25 mg of SO2.
