Els Vil-lusionistes Turbulent 2020

Els Vil·lusionistes present this red wine made from a young (6 year old) vine of cariñena (carignan). After harvest once at the winery the grapes are destemmed and put into a clay vessel called Tinaja for the fermentation. The temperature is controlled but the process starts naturally. After some 10 days the wine is pressed and racked back into the amphora for further ageing until next June 2021 when it was bottled. The wine can be called a "natural wine" because at all times there were no winemaking additives put into the wine and not even sulphites before bottling. The wine is full of energy and character: the fruity notes overwhelm from the glass, the body and tannins are interwoven, and you can enjoy this wine fully now or cellar it for many more years! The label, work of a local artist, depicts the amphora made of the vine roots, as a hint to the natural origin of this wine and it's untamed, savage character. Limited production of 1878 bottles.
