Itsasmendi Artizar 2017

Artizar, the winery's most beloved wine, is a Basque term for morning star, the first star to be seen at dawn (or dusk), the planet Venus.

Unlike the winery's other wines, Artizar is a kind of testing ground, seeking the maximum expression of its vineyards, which is why the winemaking process can vary from one year to the next. In 2017 the wine is composed of 85% Hondarrabi Zuri and 15% Izkiriota Handia (or as it is known in France - Gros Manseng). Fermented in stainless steel tanks and further aged for 10 months on lees in old 2,000 litre foudres this wine is made to cellar, although it can now be fully enjoyed!
