Claus Preisinger has been known for his natural winemaking for a number of years. Located in the village of Gols, in the Burgenland region, he works about 20 hectares under biodynamic concepts and grows different local grape varieties.
This Ordinaire sparkling rosé wine is made from two varieties, 80% Blaufränkisch (the most widespread variety in Burgenland) and a small amount of Pinot Noir. The ancestral method for making sparkling wines is the oldest method for this type of wine. The must undergoes only alcoholic fermentation, meaning that the process begins in some type of tank (stainless steel) and ends in the bottle. The bubbles in the wine are soft and perhaps less abundant compared to sparkling wines made using the traditional method (such as cava or champagne), but that only makes the ancestral wines super easy to drink!
The emoji of the bottle cap, although it is the symbol of the winery, invites us to open the bottle and enjoy its bubbles with light meals or simply on its own!
