Michael Wenzel Pinot Noir Ruster 2017
€26,45
An Austrian rarity – a Pinot Noir red wine
Out of stock
A red wine from Michael Wenzel curiously made not with the traditional Austrian varieties such as Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt or St. Gallen, but with the traditional Austrian varieties such as Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt or St. Gallen. The wine was not made in St. Laurent, but with the French Pinot Noir.
This 2017 vintage is at its best, lively, with a good fruit load but at the same time has a rustic touch, with hints of forest aromas.
The grapes are grown in a plot near the village of Rust itself, hence the name, with soil composed of slate and gneiss. The image on the label shows some of it.
